This position we are currently hiring for at our growing company where we offer several different services for people and their pets.<\/p>\n

All Attendants have duties and responsibilities including properly cleaning and disinfecting crates, condos, dog runs, kennel yards and common areas as well as general housekeeping throughout the entire kennel.<\/p>\n

Safety is the responsibility of each individual and management expects all work to be done in a safe manner.<\/p>\n

JOB DESCRIPTION<\/h3>\n

Pets in our facility must be cared for promptly, every day. The facility is staffed 365 days a year and is exceptionally busy when schools are on holiday recess. Experience is desired, however a genuine love for animals is a must. You must be able to handle dogs of all sizes without being afraid of them and without allowing them to control you. You must be in good physical condition, able to squat, stoop, bend, lift, and do a lot of walking. Must be willing to maintain the highest standards in cleanliness. There will be opportunities for advancement, if you excel.<\/p>\n

  • Be able to lift 40 lbs.<\/li>\n
  • Previous dog experience meaning more than that you have owned a dog.<\/li>\n
  • Good dog handling.<\/li>\n
  • Good with cats too!<\/li>\n
  • Customer interface to include checking pets in and out.<\/li>\n
  • Prepares invoices and accepts payments.<\/li>\n
  • Answers the phone and takes reservations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:<\/h3>\n

    Purpose of Job<\/strong>
    \nThe senior attendant\u2019s role is to help manage safe and controlled playgroups and to oversee the total care of all the dogs in the facility on any given day.\u00a0 This position is critical as you will help to maintain the high standard and quality of individualized care our customers have come to expect.\u00a0 Paying attention to the details, communication and teamwork our the top priorities of this job and ownership will have high expectations that you are following company protocol at all times in order to be an excellent example for all team members.<\/p>\n

    Expectations and Duties<\/strong><\/p>\n

    • Customer Service<\/strong>\n
      \n
      • Ensure that superior get pictures for social media and that the marketing plan is followed<\/li>\n
      • Learn and understand the system and answer phones in the absence of an owner or reservation specialist and take reservations or new client information<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • Dog care<\/strong>\n
        \n
        • Ensure that the dogs have fresh water at all times during daycare hours<\/li>\n
        • Help to ensure accuracy of total number of dogs in house<\/li>\n
        • Perform feedings accurately and pass on communication if dogs are not eating<\/li>\n
        • Integrate new dogs into the pack following the protocol and evaluate throughout the day using New Dog Eval form<\/li>\n
        • Intake daycare dogs safely and in a controlled manner, ensure that dogs are checked off on list<\/li>\n
        • Intake boarding dogs safely and in a controlled manner, ensure that all belongings are reviewed, feeding\/med instructions are provided, and that all boarding check in questions have been answered<\/li>\n
        • Intake grooming dogs, ensure that groomer is either speaking to client for instructions or that instructions are noted<\/li>\n
        • Set up dogs in the evening and consult with owners on proper sleeping arrangements<\/li>\n
        • Implement progress report as necessary<\/li>\n
        • Know our veterinary partners and our emergency plan<\/li>\n
        • Have a good understanding of canine first aid and take the lead on any first aid care needed on the floor<\/li>\n
        • Hand off dogs following procedure<\/li>\n
        • Work with dogs on the floor to continue our commitment to training and keeping the dogs engaged in a positive manner on the floor, keeping her on task<\/li>\n
        • Assist grooming when needed and help groomer retrieve dogs from play arenas<\/li>\n
        • Ensure that all dogs just groomed are kept clean by any means necessary<\/li>\n
        • Observe dogs for any and all odd behaviors, signs of illness or injury and report to owners if anything of concern comes to your attention<\/li>\n
        • Constantly be touching and feeling the dogs, looking at feet, ears, teeth, etc\u2026 so we can communicate to clients when a dog is in need of a nail trim, teeth clean, groom, or if there\u2019s anything concerning that a vet should look at<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n

          • Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and follow the cleaning procedures- posted on white board:
            \n– vacuum and mop back rooms
            \n– seacide stalls and walls
            \n– windex windows
            \n– deck mop walls and baseboards<\/li>\n
          • Understand the fire procedure and implement plan if necessary<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
          • Teamwork\/Communication<\/strong>\n

            • Provide information for daily reports<\/li>\n
            • Read wall on a daily basis and take note of all comings\/goings, special instructions, etc\u2026<\/li>\n
            • Assist drivers to ensure they have all dogs needed for transport and all belongings at the end of the day<\/li>\n
            • Train techs and techs in training as delegated by owners<\/li>\n
            • Ensure that all notes are passed along to next shift\u2019s teammate<\/li>\n
            • Assist superior in ensuring that all policies and procedures are being followed by techs and techs in training<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION<\/h3>\n

              • High school diploma or equivalent<\/li>\n
              • Previous experience in a pet facility or pet care environment a plus<\/li>\n
              • Excellent work history and references<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                COMPENSATION<\/h3>\n

                Pay depends on experience. Performance based bonus upon approval.
