Job Description
Do you enjoy interacting with others, including those with fur? If so, our Customer Service Coordinator opportunity at Toby Town RVA may be the right fit for you! Toby Town RVA is a new, local Doggy Daycare and Staycare facility. The care and well-being of dogs is of utmost importance at Toby Town and as our Customer Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for helping ensure our standards are upheld.
In this position, you would be the first point of contact for new and existing customers, our face of Toby Town. In addition to answering incoming calls and inputting customer reservations, this position also entails assisting our Pet Care staff with the drop-off and pick-up of the dogs each day, so you will be hands on with our furry clients. Administrative duties also include daily tasks to help prepare for the day and ensure our staff have the information that is necessary. In addition, it includes fun projects-such as creating Birthday gift bags and special event preparation!
General Responsibilities:
- Interact with customers via phone, email, in person, and on social media
- Carry out new customer inquiries by providing an engaging, informative experience. Ensure new customers complete the required steps for Meet & Greets
- Resolve customer problems and complaints
- Take payments-Card & Cash
- Engage with customers-provide information on Toby Town Services, upsell with the promotion of add-on services
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with Pet Care Staff
- Maintain customer database
- Assist with the coordination of dog pick-up and drop-off
- Help with office cleaning tasks as necessary
- Provide administrative support for special events and projects
- Run reports and organize customer data as needed
- Other duties as assigned
For this role we are looking for someone with strong communication skills, a professional demeanor, and who can engage not only with our customers-but the pups too!
Basic Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Excellent Communication skills-Verbal and Written
- Detail-oriented and Organizational skills
- Demonstrate positive attitude towards dogs, co-workers and customers. Passion for animals. Humanely and gently handle animals at all times.
- Strong Computer skills-experience using Microsoft Word and Excel
- Reliable-must have strong attendance
- Must be comfortable and able to work in an environment with dogs-both small and large
- Basic understanding of payment handling
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience handling customer service matters over the phone
- Social Media Experience-Facebook, Instagram
- Prior experience working with animals a plus
Hours
Work schedule will vary depending on the needs of the business and can include Monday-Friday between the hours of 6:00am-7:00pm. Our facility is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, so weekend and holiday shifts may be required. This position is Full-Time, 40 hours/week. The ideal candidate must be available during our peak pick-up and drop-off times.
Compensation
Pay depends on experience and you will earn performance-based bonuses upon approval. We don’t hire to just fill a seat, rather we take our time looking for the right people.
