Dog Day Care Staff W. Seattle

Unleashed Dog Camp offers kennel free boarding and day care to friendly dogs of all kinds. We have two locations: our outdoor camp in Renton and our indoor studio in West Seattle.

We are currently looking for two dog handlers who are available for weekday shifts at our West Seattle location. This is a new location for us, so flexibility and creativity as we expand and work out the kinks of a new team are essential for this role.

If you love dogs, are comfortable managing a group of 10-15 small to medium sized dogs in a play group, are exceptionally reliable, love to work hard and have an interest in positive dog training this is the job for you!

Our dog handlers work closely with our certified dog trainers in teaching specific behavior skills as well as managing group play using positive reinforcement and practices based in animal learning theory. Responsibilities include cleaning dog and staff areas, communicating with clients, and managing play groups in an indoor/outdoor setting.

Shifts would be between 7am and 6pm with a regular schedule of 20-40 hours per week Monday through Friday.

Teamwork, attention to detail, flexibility, independent thinking and problem solving as well as an enjoyment of a fast paced work environment are also essential.

 NEED TO (the must have’s):

  • Be able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Be able to stand for hours at a time
  • Previous dog experience
  • Adherence to positive dog training/handling methods
  • Be incredibly reliable

COMPENSATION

Pay depends on experience. Performance based bonus upon approval.
